He is not so much better than everyone. Remember the dunk competitions in the late 80s. Between him and Dominique wilkins? I really cant say that he is so much greater.

The best individual dunker of all time is Dominique Wilkins. I'd put Vince Carter second and then Jordan third.

I would have to say it's between Michael Jordan or Kobe, they both have some really impressive skills. With Jordan's time on the Chicago Bulls he made some of the best dunks. I almost want to include ShaQ in this mix but ShaQ's drunks are really more powerful rather than anything of extensive reach.

Upon mentioning Shaq, that reminds me of how under-appreciated Dwight Howard is as a dunker. He got so robbed in the last dunk contest, he had some of the most creative dunks I've seen in a while. The sticker on the backboard dunk was sick, I think it was better than Gerald Green's cupcake dunk, at least.

Being the little joker that I am, "Was the cupcake dunk delicious?" hehe, Dwight Howard was one of my favorite contenstants at the dunk contest to be honest. Didn't he win first place in the 2008 Dunk Contest with the superman slam dunk? I'm pretty sure I saw that video somewhere.

He did, he was finally given the credit he deserves. On that particular dunk, in the slow-motion replay, Dwight never really touches the rim with his hand. He's a little too far away from the rim, so he kind of just throws the ball in, but it looks nice either way. I'm not sure if that would technically qualify as a 'dunk.'Aran wrote:Being the little joker that I am, "Was the cupcake dunk delicious?" hehe, Dwight Howard was one of my favorite contenstants at the dunk contest to be honest.
