2008-2009 NBA Champion

Who will it be? I'm betting on the Celtics not repeating. I think the Lakers will have it pulled together this year. I think Kobe will have another amazing year, and Bynum will now be back so the Lakers will be up to full potential. Kobe, Gasol, Odom, and Bynum is a serious set of players to have on one team.

I think Kobe Bryant has a good chance of becoming the 08-09 champion. Kobe never ceases to amaze me, he's a top ranking and one of the best players in the world. I just saw a picture of Kobe being swarmed by a bunch of Asian fans at the 08 Beijing Olympics. Everyone loves Kobe.

Er, you seem to be forgetting that becoming a world champion also comes along with being on a team. I'll assume you mean the Lakers are going to win it all. But yes, in Beijing people loved Kobe... Kobe actually got a louder ovation than Yao Ming, that's pretty insane when you consider you're stepping into his 'home court.'

If the Celtics could pick up maybe another average player off Waivers they may be able to repeat. But that Fearsome 3 they have there can be brutal in the late minutes of a close game.

Yeah, what the Celtics really need to think about is all those 20 year olds and draft picks they sent away to get Garnett and Allen, and how in about 5 years that is going to be killing them. If they don't win 2 of the next 5 championships, I'd probably say that's a near-failure for the caliber of players they have.
