surfing with the wind!

seems windsurfing is a breathtaking sport! But, are the board and sail not to huge enough to carry over the water??? Where is the most suitable place to do this?

Yep, it's very fun. Went wind surfing in Hawaii a couple years back when I was on vacation. Nothing is more calming that cruising though the summer breeze over crystal clear Hawaiian waters. I hope I can go back and try once again.

I've gone windsurfing twice, it's a lot of fun and much better than just standard surfing. It's only nice when you're over calm waters though, you can easily be thrown out of control if waves start up. It's not so fun having to depend on the wind to propel you though, wind comes and goes.
