Asif Banned by Pakistan Cricket Board

Pakistani pace bowler Mohammad Asif has been suspended by the PCB for testing positive in a banned drug substance in the recently concluded IPL series in India.

""Asif has been suspended until the drug tribunal of the IPL completes its inquiry," Shafqat Naghmi, the PCB's chief operating officer, said. "For the time being he is suspended from playing all forms of the game until further decision which includes the right of appeal.""

I think Asif should show some sportsman spirit and should not involve himself into these kinds of things that can cause lots of damage to his cricketting career.

Yes, there have been a lot of controversies involving Pakistan Pacer Mohammad Asif. He has been tested positive in a lot of Drug tests. Whether he has taken the drugs consciously or unknowingly, it is still a mystery. For this reason he has been banned from Any form of Pakistan Cricket.

I think he should mend his mistakes and make a sincere apology to the PCB if he does not want his career to end.

Its really sad when players with so much potential, test positive for drugs. In the end they deserve to get banned by the board but its just sad to see it happen. Assif has played quite well and in the IPL he played very well i believe.
