Dance as a sport? Empty Dance as a sport?

It was a great struggle for the International Dancesport Federation to win the International Olympic Committee's "Greenlight" to the Olympics. This means that there is a huge hope the Dancesport to be considered in ther Olympic Games Medal Programme.
I hope that would be soon for the benefit of Dancesport fanatics! Very Happy

Well dancing is not really a sport its more of an art. That's why its used in the opening ceremony of the Olympics rather than actually being able to win medals for it. The ice skating in the Olympics is like dancing but it's a little trickier due to them being on ice skates!

Dance should also be included as a sport. A good dance performer has all the necessary skills possessed by athletes, and other sportsmen. One needs Stamina, Speed, Agility, Endurance, Strength (while doing dances in which you need to lift team members) and other components, which are also required in any other sport. Hence it should be included as a sport.

If Gymnastics can be considered as a sport, why not Dance?
