Does anyone box just for fun/exercise? I have considered taking it up and increasing my strength through that. I want to hear some success stories before I try anything though!

Boxing is becoming popular in the gyms as part of their fitness program. Also, in some tertiary schools they adapted boxing as part of the curriculum. So, whether a student is interest or not, he/she has no choice but to punch and punch until he/she gets the passing score!
lol!

Very true! Boxing is a great outlet and if you train properly, you're likely to get pretty fit in a short amount of time given the intensity of even a few minutes at the punchbag.

Not something that I hear much about where I live but I'm sure they probably do courses down at the leisure centre.

I don't see how getting pummeled in the face would be great exercise. Boxing does take a lot of endurance and strength, but the injuries that can come from it just don't even out for me. Sorry but no thanks.

But if we are talking about Wii Boxing...

I used to box with my friends every once in awhile. We had a set of boxing gloves that we would screw around with and try to defeat each other in a punch out with the only rule no below the belt! Good times I remember beating up this short kid and I saw him about 7 years later and he still remembers our boxing match.

some people does boxing for recreation. They are willing to engage in anything on vacations and so they do. Any way it is useful in a better way to regain strength and then stamina etc. At least its a sort of aerobic exercise, no?
