Heard chinese athlete have been preparing for the olympics for 5-6 years. I expect strong presence by the chinese team as well. But my personal favourite team is Russia. I hope they finish first.

From my point of view, there is several potential overall champion for Olympic 2008. USA, China, Russia. These three country no doubt will take the first 3 places in the overall rank.

i think china will do the vest - they are used to the conditions there, though USA and russia will do well too, african nations always do well in long distance running events (no idea why, they just do). the UK will do terribly, as it always does.

OMG GOD I lost my bet.. LOL China is leading in GOLD but US is still leading in term of medals.

I think the USA has the best chance of dominating the Olympics this year. There are so many bronze silver and gold medalists in the USA today and throughout history. Yes I do believe the USA has the most medals but I didn't know that China had the most golds.

China it has to be although the UK and the USA havent been doing too badly. However i dont think the credit that silver and bronze winners get is enough because a medal is a medal and it seems the gold carries all the weight while the others are just like the person didnt win at all. sad really

China indeed surpassed every other country in the Olympics this year. With More than 50 Golds and 100 meddles they have really proved their mettle as the Champion of Sports. I think China would fair even better in the next olympics and would lead all the other countries by a huge margin.

offcourse china is the overall champian of beijing olympic 2008 as they won 101 overall medals and above 50 glod medals in plympics.so they deseves to be the winner of this competition of beinjing olympics overall.china rocks
