Third Umpire Role In 2011 World Cup

Its getting very much frustrated when umpires makes mistake to often. So, for the 2011 world cup it will be better to go for the decision from the Television umpire(3rd umpire) rather the umpires themselves makes a wrong one and they could analyze on their decision too.It includes all the decisions even LBW

I don't agree with this. I believe umpires on the ground are an integral feature of the game and lend the game its charm. Yes, umpires make mistakes, but who doesn't? Also, this brings an element of unpredictability in the game. If everything is sure shot, its not that much fun at all.

Well, I always find it exciting when the Umpires cant make a swift decision and they need to revert to the third umpire to make sure. But like many have said, Cricket needs to start embracing technology. There will always be a human umpire but you will notice as the years pass on, that umpires will be reverting to the computer much more.

international cricket counsil has announced some new rules in cricket,that some decisions of field umpires can be recalled to the third umpire by the bowlers or the batsmen if they are not satisfied. so its a good stratagy of icc for world cup 2011, as it will give audience to see fair game and fair decisions.
